It has alot to do with shape and length, which the Vararam is alot different than the cai. With just the Vararam and no other mods he's trapped almost 111mph. Normally he traps on the 107-108 range stock. So how many cai only cars do we have here that are automatics that trap 111?
Clearly he's not driving a V6 car, and it's the 2012 Vararam V6 intake that is the real subject of this thread...

This whole thing is sophomoric. Posting pictures of a stock intake with stickers on it? Really? Someone jumping in about higher trap speeds on an SS? Really? And this pertains to the LFX and the oh-so-cooperative folks at Vararam...how?

Sorry, not impressed. Meanwhile, CAI, Inc has posted an in-depth tech post about how theirs actually works. Buy from a winner...go CAI. And, yes, I paid for mine. Full price, and it's worth it.

Sometimes "sophomoric" hits the spot. Good one Bobsleb BTW. Buy the CAI if for nothing else for its quality and looks. That plastic box looks like crap.

I don't think it was funny at all!

Sorry, but he deliberately gave false information in a forum section where members come for guidance and personal experience opinions.

If he would have come clean in his first post, MAYBE it would have been funny, but he let it go on for several days & posts. I will never take anything he says seriously nor will I ever value his opinion.

And no, I DO NOT believe everything on the Internet!

It was so obvious in the pictures that it was a stock intake with paper cut outs lol how could you be mad?! Unless you have never looked under your hood... and if thats the case fine I see the logic. But anyway I bought my Camaro back in Sept 2011. First thing I did was call Vararam and asked when the LFX version is coming out.
I was told " Around January 2012" It is now Almost 2013.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!? I think I did see a thread here with the LEGIT preproduction version.
Any how, It'd be nice to hear from Vararam on this thread or in this subcategory on the current progress.

He didn't post any pictures until his fourth post on the subject. Not mad at all; just annoyed.

Good luck with that!! And If we did hear from them, I would still NEVER buy anything from this company!!

Anyone going to jump in and try to kick my ass and say how wonderful of a company they are like the last time I called them on the carpet!
