Alright everybody I need advice on what catch can to get. There's plenty out there, which is the best in your opinion?
Elite engineering or the RX one that you can order from Tracy (SC150)! I'm happy with my elite, but of course mine was free! Lol! They were giving one away and I won!

Ok 1 for EE and 1 for RX.

Also it helps if I could get a good deal on one or the other.

if that's that plastic spray stuff that people use to paint their rims and things, why not just take an exacto knife and gently cut around the inner indentation of the SS and peel them out? That way you'd have the red SS and the black surround.

I'd go with RX if I was you...I don't like how EE drains.

Especially since you can get the RX one to match your car...I think its a no brainer.

Chip, the difference in draining the catch cans is RX has a butterfly screw on the bottom! The elite you unscrew the bottom portion of the can and dump it! Not sure about the RX but the elite has a steel wool filter in it that can be replaced if needed!

Hmmm, that's good info. I saw JTs and I like the way it looked and operated.
I'll have to think it through.

Btw mod installed tonight, pics coming.

Painted it myself, 3 coats of high heat primer, 3 coats of high heat engine enamel Red, and 2 coats of high heat clear. The damn shame is that I painted the ENTIRE outside of the filter housing. And you only see about 30% of it.

Oh well, I'm incredibly happy with the finished product, easy install, only took about 30 minutes, and I can't wait to test it out on the road tomorrow!

Chip, now go and order you a ported throttle body from Tracy and you'll be good to go!!! Those vararam wedges I posted about, they are for sale now! But you may need a tune with it!

But $150 for a ported TB and you get faster throttle response!!!!

Looking professionally done there Chip! I mean I really like it!

Now for the $64 question...
Are those gonads hanging off the original pipe? My Z71 has something similar, and I am sure they serve a purpose. Someone set me straight before I pass bad information to our next generation...

Ehhhh, I'll think about it, maybe in the future. But right now I'd rather spend $150 elsewhere if I do at all.

Thanks Chris!

JT and I were talking about that the other day. We think it's something that evens out air flow in case it's fluctuating.

I've heard people say that a CAI changes the tone of your exhaust, maybe those chambers eliminate that?
