help replacing bowtie ?!?!

I want to replace the rear bowtie with an SS/RS (red in chrome "SS") emblem. Meaning it needs to fit the space and attach as the existing bowtie does.

Doing this, I will permanantly remove the small SS/RS emblem on the right rear trunk lid.

Anybody know of anyone who has made such a critter?

I have not seen one yet. I assume you are referring to the current "SS" style and not the one from the earlier years. Hylton has a journal going in which he replaced the rear bow tie with a Impala "SS" emblems, but he said that you had to fill the holes that were underneath.

Here's the link:

If you are referring the older style Tom Henry Racing has put them on the rear, but I am not sure how they did that.

Here's a couple of links with a picture:

I haven't seen a red one put on in either style.

Hope this helps.

I want to do exactly what he has on the grill and tail in those threads but it doesn't seem like it was ever finished.
