I believe that the 1LE is the basis for a new Z/28 model, heres some of my reasoning, right or wrong it's just what I have noticed.

The top photo is from gm design studio and the next lower one was thought to be a track pack ZL1 but we know now that is not the case since the optional equipment list was released recently.

My personal observation is centered on the new 1LE concept and the green camaro test car wearing ZL1 parts with an LS/LT nose piece which is clearly not just a suspension test car especially seeing how this car has a unique hood of its own under cover for prying eyes not to see. The supercharged ZL1 already has a special dual intake box so it does not need a ram air intake like a natural aspirated engine would need for breathing enhanced performance. GM has stated the ZL1 is showroom stock to be track ready.

GM never test models that are just concepts, that would be a waste of money so we will see another special performance camaro for 2013 in my opinion for us who just cannot afford the price premium of the almighty ZL1.

Given that I would argue that the ZR1 very likely doesn't cost anymore to build than the Z06 does, Chevy just charges a lot more for it because they can. Unfortunately you can't really do that with the Camaro for various reasons, once of which being that you just can't inflate ZL1 pricing enough to make such a scenario work without causing problems.

Please keep in mind that the above is just a theory of mine based on what I have seen, nd I could be way off base here...but I doubt it.
That is the tough part of the LS7 Camaro. The cost will be very close to the ZL1. A Z/28 with an LS7 will disappoint in the sense that it is not the 'affordable' Z/28 many are looking for. On the other hand, the LS7 won't disappoint anyone

There may be another Camaro that pops up at SEMA... I could be wrong. I was wrong once last year, but then found out I was actually right

I hate to repeat myself, Pete, but from another thread, I came up with this rationale...that may NOT be rational...

1LE = As shown, more or less...with monochromatic hood, please (too BOSS-like!)

1LE = Base BO$$

Z/28 = 1LE + LS7

Z/28 = BO$$ L$

Tit-for-tat...and them's nice tats!

#2.99 left on Monday. We haven't had any contact with him since he hit Vegas

As for me, we shipped out morning delivery next day air the last remaining parts to our last minute GM / GMPP / SEMA partners. Now we just have to ship me

You already posted some of our GM booth vehicles. Here is a bit more information.

I have lost count. 24... 30 Cars, 14 in the GM booth, 2 with LPE, 5 with West Coast Customs, and more. The tech support calls the last two weeks as we completed all these special builds were intense. They are now all done and I can relax.
