It does not mater where you bought the car from , the dealer will get paid for the service by GM .

I do not own a ZL1 but I do have the 5-spoke wheels I have the same issue I can tell you when I got my wheels they were off a 1 day old ZL1 and I did not have this problem. It appears to be the brake dust/ standing water eating into the paint. This is an issue GM needs to address.

I have the black wheels with the same problem, inside the lug but holes and the edges of the spokes and also where it says camaro are all showing through the powder coating and look grey. It is at the dealership right now and I am supposed to have an answer tomorrow or Tuesday as to what they are going to do for it. It seems like the powder coating was applied too thinly and didn't completely coat everything.

Just checked mine and the only thing I found is I don't clean in there well enough. I ahve only had Natasha for one month though. But reading 01pewterz28's post we need to definitely keep an eye on them and let GM know. Keep us posted how you make out.

This problem has nothing to do with the wheel being clean. I clean my wheels everytime I get back from driving the car with a soft wet microfiber towell. The only type of cleaner that has ever touched my wheels are soap and water, and a light coat of nxt wax.

10 spoke black, thin coating on rim edge - now I'll have to study the lug areas as well. Possibly explains the "shortages" with the ZL1 wheels in general = poor finishing. smh

I cannot figure out what is wrong, because the wheels have been painfully and thoroughly washed once a week since I purchased the car. The rest of the wheel everywhere else is perfect.

I took the car to my dealership. They tried some compound on it with no success. The dealer took pictures to forward to Chevrolet to see what they have to say.

Correct me if I am wrong, but these are painted/clear coated aluminum wheels, correct?

I see that you have gone to your dealership and the solution didn't work. If you would like to PM me your first and last name, address, phone number, VIN, mileage and involved dealership; I will be able to contact your dealership and research this further.

I meant nothing about your wheels and the cleaning of them. That comment was actually addressed to me, I'm not doing a good enough job. I just have to do a better job cleaning and watch since it's not happening to everyone right away.

Things should be taken care of now, I see Brandon chimed in and is going to try and help. Good Luck!

Oh Im well aware of that. If my wife and I both were not in uniform there would have been a scene. I stayed calm and said I will be contacting GM about the issue and went from there.

Looks like it will be getting fixed shortly, and after that I hope GM opens a IA case on them.

I thought I was the only guy with this issue. I noticed this the first time I washed my car. I really would be interested in seeing GM's response.
