Agreed.

I have no complaints with my ZL1.

Not even GM advertises the Camaro as a part of the Chevy family .

"The American Sports Car" is the Corvette.

Camaro isn't a sports car true? It's in a different class than the Corvette since the Camaro seats four people and has the ride height of a family sedan.

I agree that the Camaro is Americana. I bought mine used this past Memorial Day weekend so I had an American flag attached to my house so I thought it very apropos when I looked out of my den window and saw my new Camaro in the driveway next to the American flag flapping in the breeze.

98 dealerships employing many more.

I say, THANK YOU TOYOTA, for all you do for Texas and my home state of Indiana where the numbers are just as impressive.

I did better than "Buy American" when I needed a minivan. I "Bought Hoosier" with the excellent Toyota Sienna, manufactured by 4000 Hoosiers and Illini in Princeton, Indiana.

I was talking to a guy from Michigan last week and he was telling me how he just bought a Toyota Tundra and how his co-workers were giving him grief for purchasing a foreign car. He then tells me how he told them the statistics of how the Tundra is one of the top vehicles produced with American-made parts.

Yes, we have Ft. Wayne Assembly here in Indiana where many GM pickups are built. IIRC, Car & Driver identified their U.S. Content at ~65% and our Toyota plants at ~80%.

But hey, I do love my Camaro and my Tahoe. I'm just trying to make the point that we should honor EVERYBODY who has the balls, patience and $$$ to build a manufacturing plant in the U.S. thereby creating a middle class in this country. Beats the hell out of Ford building in Mexico.
