L99 cold start rough idle.

Hi,

Has anyone noticed any rought idle during a cold start for the L99? I usually use remote start and let the car warm up so I'm not sure if this is normal, but it sure didn't feel normal today. I got in my car and started it up this morning, put my hands on the steering wheel and the car started to shake. It shook pretty good like a skip. I could feel it in the steering, on the seat and see the car shaking for about a minute and then it faded away. Yesturday I drove thru some really heavy rain storms, but drove about 120 miles after that before parking it in the garage. I wonder if it was water on a coil pack or in the wires.. What do you think?

My car does this sometimes as well. I start it in the garage and throw it in reverse, as I'm backing out it's starts to shake. By the time I'm out of the garage it's usually over.

I have the same thing on start up. I think the engine is just cold natured. After 30 seconds it starts to idle without shake. Nothing to worry about.

Like the others said, it's normal for this engine. By the time I get out of my garage and down to the main street (a block at the most) it's all good.

Ditto. I do not know if the AFM is working at idle or not. Does anyone?

Mine does this also. I usually let the RPMs settle (10-15 seconds after start) before I go into gear to avoid the jumpyness.

My LS3 is cold blooded, drives like hell for the first mile or so every morning...afraid of what's going to happen when the mornings are actually cold.

Me also. When first started, it runs at about 1100 rpm and goes into gear hard. I let it run until the revs drop to about 750 before shifting.
