Exclamation Ground Effect Install - Cut exhaust tips??

Just got a call from my dealer and they are installing the ground effects and asked if I wanted the exhaust tips cut or not when they install the ground effects.

Does anyone know what the difference is and what it looks like?

The stock tips will fit inside the ground effects without a problem, my dealership was lazy and/or didn't know how to follow instructions and did not cut the exhaust tips. I don't think they look bad either way, really.

I know I'm going to be doing an aftermarket exhaust mod of some sort in the near future, so I wasn't too concerned with them not following instructions in this particular area, but if you're planning on leaving it alone for a while, I would say have them do it right and do what the instructions depict.

hm, yea I plan on going with an aftermarket exhaust also. As long as it doesn't stick out of the holes I think it should look ok.

Now I want to see if they will paint the ground effects before putting them on.

Don't cut them if you want the ground effects to last. Remember the thread where the guys fascia was melting because the exhaust wasn't sticking out far enough.

That shouldn't apply to his. Mine had no ground effects and is running too rich (so says the dealer).
