1984 Restoration
Hey guys its me! Im starting my senior project and need some helpful info on restoring an 84' Camaro. It has an automatic tranny with a 305 V8. The body is in need of paint and repair but im more interested in starting on the engine work since my project revolves around restoring that part of the vehicle Any information would be helpful and appreciated.

Your '84 is probably running a low-performance (140 or so hp) 305 very similar to the one in the article I've included. You didn't announce your budget or if you were planning to rebuild the motor, but the link is a Popular Hot Rodding article from 2007 where they squeeze 370hp out of a 305 for fairly low cash outlay. You may be able to save even more if you can find a set of Vortec heads cheaper. Hope it helps.
