2010 ss vs 2012 ss

I had a 2010 1ss that i traded for 2011 mustang gt, due to some tran problems. I reciently test drove a 2012 ss and from i remember the oexcelloration of my 2010 was much better then the way the 2012 feels. Did they govern the 2012s due to the problems with the earlier models had with the trans, both were 6 manual cars, i know the cluch is different in the 12 vs 10s, would the shift not feel as strong in 2012s due to the cluch change. Does any one have any ideas, because my mustang gt feels stronger than the 2012 , the 2010 ss felt stronger than my stang, this may discurrage me to swith back to camaro. i do miss my 2010ss, any insite, any technacal info will be appreciated.

I do remember that i read chevy was going to not alow car would not be able to tach more than 3000 rpms in 1st, but thats all i heard.

What???? Are you saying you couldn't go over 3k rpms in 1st? You can redline it in 1st if you want (although rev limiter will kick in about 6500)..

The reason one felt stronger, is because you are probably used to more power under your foot.
Having strong V8 cars will spoil you in no time at all.

I am guessing , I don't know your car background before this.

If you are going from a mustang 5.0 to a camaro SS then the mustang will feel much faster. I'm willing to bet that you are used to driving the 5.0 and going back to the slower feeling camaro is what is throwin you off a bit. I myself switched from a 2011 5.0 to a 2012 SS because the trans in my mustang was falling apart. There is a big difference between the two cars, but both are really pretty much the same as far as power and performance. I prefer my camaro though. Much more comfortable.

No prob...

No, there's not a difference. Why would anyone build a sports car that was governed to an RPM range like that? My 2012 will run out the entire first gear to redline.

The 2012 is the same mechanically as the 2010. There may be some very minor difference ( Most of which are appearance or convenience related, not mechaincal ), but still the same car.

Basically the same car, but as a plus for us canyon carving enthusiasts the 2012 comes with the FE4 (stiffer suspension).

I traded my 2010 for a 2012 and the FE4 suspension feels a lot better than the 2010. I do notice minor bumps more so in the 2012. I am amazed at how much better I like the 2012 than the 2010..traded an L99 for the LS3. The L99 was a faster car, however. I'm trying to fix that.
