When will the ZL1 prices bottom out?!
With the release of the 6th gen ZL1, it seems like the prices have been dropping rather drastically. At what price point do you see the ZL1 bottoming out at and when can we expect this? I've been shopping for a ZL1 for about a year now, based on what I've seen I think they will bottom out in the low 30's probably over the next year or so. Let me know what you guys think.
Reason I ask is I've been looking at a few 14-15's with under 5000 miles for high 30's. I feel like if I purchase one of these and try to sell in a year or so I would only lose a few thousand. Eventually, I would like to get into a 6th gen ZL1 once the prices come down into the 40's. |

It's anyone's guess at this point. I'd drive what you have and save your money for the 6thGen. But that's just me.

I look at things a bit different, life is short so when I see something I like and want I just buy it. I don't have the time or patience looking for the deal, when I can be enjoying it now.

Haha that's the pitch I always give my wife when I want something new. You're right life is too short and you never know when something could happen.

I don't think there going lower. High 30's for a low mileage ZL1 regardless of the year is the buy of the century.

There are some very good deals out there to be had...The 5th isn't going to loose complete value because of the 6th, as actually it should be in high demand due to the pricing of the 6th...I've seen '14's and '15's in the low 40'sk which to me is a hell of a deal...I like my '13 and I'm very happy with it and the mods that I have down to it thus far, so I am not looking to upgrade...I bought it as my retirement car, but since I was forced to retire early, I see a Corvette in the future...

I think prices for low mileage 5th gen ZL1s will stabilize between $35 and $40K. Higher mileage will dictate price drops below $35K.

I wanna know where you are finding Gen5 with 5K or less for under $40K. Maybe I will starting shopping in earnest a bit sooner. Most I have seen are still mid to high $40K

You can blame me! Seems like every month I make a payment and the value drops almost the same amount!

Asking prices for a ten-year-old Mustang GT500 are still in the high 20s for high-ish mileage examples (north of 50k) and low-/mid-30s for cars with lower mileage. I think that provides an indication of the floor for ZL1 prices.
