2 Camaros spotted in ME - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Quirk Chevrolet in Bangor has a Red 6 cylinder on display.

Dutch Chevrolet in Belfast received a Red 6 cylinder last Thursday, but apparently the owner took it home and put it in his garrage until the May 6 unveiling. Seems like a logical business choice given a weekend of beautiful weather after a long winter....why would a hot new car prominently displayed at a dealership drum up any new business. (Ask the guys in Bangor, cause there were people swarming the car each time I have driven by over the last few days)

1) Amazing sig.

2) Good choice by the owner. The red Camaro in the Chevy dealer I went to visit already had a scratch on the door handle, and who knows where else. Also had the big metal dealer emblem stuck on the back. I'd be really pissed if my car was being treated like that. Oh, this one was already sold. It was a pre-order that avoided the QC tests, so its being sent back after the May 6th unveiling.

There are a few kicking around the Bangor area. I have a 2ss/rs with black rally stripes. There is another one the same color with white hockey stripes.

There was a red LT/RS at O'Connor Chevy in Augusta the end of April. They tried to sell it to me but I had my heart set on black 2SS but when I put my deposit down I got to drive it. If the 6 is that good I can't imagine what the 2SS will be like.They are expecting a 2SS anytime--yellow/black. I have heard there is a black camaro in the Waterville area but haven't seen it. I have had my order in for a Black 2SS/RS for a month and it feels like forever!!! Don't understand all the order numbers people keep posting. How do you find out about these things?

Once your order is excepted from GM they give you an order # (6 digit code).Your order is not accepted by GM until dealer uses allocation for your car. Once you have order # then you can call dealer business center to track car.

There are alot of orders from Oct who haven't received theirs yet.

I hate to see people waiting so long to get their cars but from everything I have read the camaros are worth it. They are incredible. I got to testdrive the one at the dealer after much talking. I had money in hand to order mine but wouldn't part with it until they conceeded to let me drive it. Amazing!!!
And thanks for the info on the order numbers. My dealer got the allocation to order mine on May 14 so I guess that means I can get a number to track it. Damn-its like waiting for the baby to come.
