Can I change my order this late. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

My Camaro is slated to be built the week of April 5th and now that the

nice weather is here I want to get the sunroof added to my order.

I called the dealer and he is not sure if it's do-able.

Does any one know if I can get this done.

Possibly.... but you run the chance of your TPW being pushed back. It also depends a bit what the change is. Anything that uses outsourced products has a higher risk of constraints. So for example, last April people who had ordered the imfamous Hurst shifter got pushed and pushed b/c it was on constraint. Now a sun roof is partly in house (stamping of the roof) and partly 3rd pardy parts (wiring, glass etc). but it's a major change. The best thing your dealer can do is to call the production office at the plant. They can tell him for sure. You're in the "maybe / maybe not" zone.

My opinion - don't do it. I have a sunroof in my truck - wish I had the $1300 instead. Waste of $$$.... plus you loose the room line....but that's just my opinion.... which is just like something else that everone has

You cant change to a different model! But you can change options in the model that was order i believe anywhere before status 3000!

My dealer tried to change my order in the system today and he said that it won't let him do it as its to far along.

That sucks

Update:

I got a call from the dealer and he was able to get my sunroof added and still keep the same build date for the week of April 5.

That to me is pretty good customer service.

There is at some point no changes. I took out at the last moment IOM interior. My dealer told me some time after threy delivered that I almost got the interior anyway.

yeah 3000 or 3300 cant do any changes... you have to figure out which status code you at then u can see if u can make the changes.
