how much boost can i run

I want to run a smaller pulley just at the dragstrip with 110 race fuel. is 8# safe? is 10# safe boost , i don't want to run meth. i have a cai, lt, 3" exhuast and a maggie with 52lbs injectors. If 10# is safe, do i have enough injector pressure. Yes i will have a tune for this. 2SSRS ( how much hp can i gain with 110 race fuel?) thank you

I'm at 9lbs and my zr1 injectors are beyond maxed out.

I just got SLP 65lb injectors and conectors and I was told they are rated to 850hp. I have the Edelbrock supercharger and I'm going to put a 3" pulley on and a ZL1 fuel pump. I was told that I will be fine. I guess we will see next week. LOL

We have a customers camaro we have been running with a stock shortblock 15psi,race gas,no intercooler, no methanol and 125mph in the 8th. Use some race gas(110 and up), and make sure the tune is spot on.

just got back from the dyno... 8lbs looked great on the dyno and the 52lb injectors with 110 race fuel were at 70%. could try 10lbs of boost, but don't have another pulley... damm!..... oh, and 2lbs of boost and race fuel was worth 65 hp!

this engine loves 110 race fuel but you have to add timing and lean it out. but holy cow does it like race fuel!

So it doesn't seem like race fuel gave you much, everytime in the past when I changed pulleys and stayed on pump gas I would see around 25-30 hp inprovemnet for every 1psi until you get above 11psi that was the norm. I would think you should be able to get another 20-25 hp with timing and 110 octane.

You will be out of injector before you max out your octane.

The fuel pump will fall short as well.

Horsepower is not a Product of Boost it is a Product of How much FUEL you can burn efficiently.

Ted.

I found that out real quick. Hit 105% injector duty cycle at 5900rpms, couldn't make anymore power to 6600rpms.

So larger injectors and meth are next
