you don't even notice it in person... i remember this was as issue when it was first shown but i think most of it don't see it as a detriment to such a beautiful car

It would probably be way too low having them down by the exhaust. And your only other option would be to pack it in with the tail lights... but that would ruin the style.

Or you could go custom with a Scion xB arrangement ahhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahah

not to mention that putting them on either side of the license plate would be detrimental to GM's overseas sales as UK (and other countries) license plates are wider than those in the US. and they would cover the reverse lights.

Ive thought about this before, maybe do an aftermarket rear diffuser with mounts for the reverse lights and something to pop into the stock location

Don't like em then don't buy the car. Pretty simple. I tend to look at the car as a whole and don't expect the engineers and designers to have done everything to my personal preference. If that were the case we would never have a Camaro. I am not sure that the statement that they did not spend enough time on the rear of the car is fair. Just because you don't like it does not mean they did not do a good job. We could all list little things we would have liked to be done but what is the point in that??

GM did it back in 1999.

Note that regular Back-Up lamps were also in the tail lights of these Pontiacs ... GM wanted to be double sure you can see while backing up !!

It's pretty ugly, but I guess it's effective.

I think the Camaro looks fine with the two small backup lights though.

I like them. But one thing they could do it integrate it into the 2 center tail lamps with LED backups. Then you could have your smooth bumper.
