Question Garage size?

I havent gotten my car yet but...
I wanna make sure my new camaro will fit in the 2 door garage I have...
I found online that the width of the camaro is 75.5 inches... is that with or without the side mirrors??

If you have your camaro in your garage how wide is your garage... and what size is going to be a TIGHT fit??

thanks

I have a 24'x30' double garage with 2 - 10' doors plenty of room. I also looked into enclosing a 10'x30' section on the side of my garage using an 8' door. I pulled the car in that spot last weekend and it will make it through the 8' door but being only 10' wide it doesn't give you much room to open the doors. Hope this helps!!

I measure 83", mirror to mirror.

Our garage is 24" wide inside with a 18' wide door. If we pull both cars in with each car's mirror 6" away from the door opening, there is more than 4' between the cars.

Bigger is better!

Find out what code is where you live. It only cost me $4200 more to add 12' to my garage. Was 34x36 now 34x48.

If code is a certain percentage of your lot size, build the biggest you can.

The dimensions that GM gives you are the MAXIMUM dimensions.

What's the point of saying that the Camaro is 75.5" wide... oh, except that the mirrors make it a full foot wider in total... ??

The opening of my garage is 90", believe me we are VERY careful going in and out, as there is about 3 - 4 inches clearance on either side!

IF you want to put two car in at the same time and don't have to worry about getting out and possibly banging a door by accident, AND you don't have ANYTHING on either side near where the doors will open. then you need a garage that is AT LEAST 24 foot wide and 24 FOOT DEEP. I have a STANDARD 2 car garage, 20 X 20. I have my Camaro and my STS Caddy in at the same time, BUT, you really don't want to open the passenger side with the car in the garage, In Fact, I can't even open the passenger side of my caddy at all, its on the right side of the garage. I have some "stuff" in my garage on the right side, like most people do.

I built a 17 x 24 in the side yard for the GTO (with stuff) and now we can open both doors on the 2010.
