I pray she and her daughter will be alright. Hope you are not injured.
What sucks is if you get a new one you can't get the RJT!
I find myself slowing way down and looking even it there is a stop sign just to make sure what happened to you doesn't happen to me. In fact I do that at EVERY intersection. So sorry for you accident...hope it gets fixed soon or you do get another.

i guess the only good thing that could come out of this would be if it is totalled, I did get gap coverage so it will be completely paid off and i could have a fresh start. I'm just more concerned about the other people at this point though. A car can always be replaced

If it were me I would hope it was totaled. If it gets fixed, it'll show up on the CarFax report and if you trade the dealer will point that out and give you less for your trade. That's what they did to me anyway.

RADO06, I respect that your first concern is for the others injured even though this wreck was not your fault.
Many years ago, 1967, I was a back seat passenger in a new 1967 Camaro. A car pulled out from a side road, no time to break, hit the other car broadside at 55 mph. Two died, two had massive injuries, and I had to be cut out of the back seat. Thankfully our autos are safer today.
Your post indicates you are more concerned about the other people then your car.
You are a special person to be more concerned about the injuries of others than the damage to your car. Car damage can be repaired, cars totaled can be replaced. Car accident injuries can last a lifetime.
Thank you for your post indicating people come first, auto damage comes second.

ditto above post and your concern for the passengers in the other car.

Best wishes for their recovery and for a good outcome for you as well.
Please do keep us posted about how things are going, OK?

My theory is life is to short to be concerned about materialistic thing like vehicles. They can always be replaced but the aftermath of an accident could be hard for someone, both physically and emotionally. I'm sorry to hear about your accident and you are correct about the new vehicles and their safety. If I wouldn't have had an airbag I might have been in the hospital today. I used to hate the idea of having an airbag but after yesterday I am now a firm believer that they can prevent serious injuries.

Glad you're ok, hope the other driver is ok too. Cars are more easily fixed than people.
