Has anyone considered painting the diffuser to match the color of the car? Or the top six inches or so of it. I'd paint down to the first "bend line" below the license plate recess. Depends on what happens...if they limit the '14 1LE, or if people don't like it so well as to limit the number needed, then the '14 might be the last of the 1LE, being dropped for '15, and then the '14 would be a one-year only design and be more rare in comparison to the '13. I recall those "ugly as sin" (according to some) 98-02 4th gens usually are worth more than most 97's and the 97's were technically a one-year only refresh (taillights), too. So the so-called rarity in appearance may not really mean squat once the '14 populations increase. But then again, you may be right. As always, time will tell.

Are you sure? That will be great, if not I will tint them black. Also I dont like the new rear diffuser, you can see all the underside, I prefeer the prior difusser. Front & hood looks great!!

Also think that the new rear spoiler looks better.. silver ice looks great.
I never heard any complaint over the stock camaro seats, I wonder if I really should get those recaros for track usage ?

The only reason the 98-02s are worth more is because they have the LS1 instead of the LT1. In my opinion, give me a 93-97 with a LS1 and I'd prefer that over the guppy mouthed 98-02 (although I did own an '02).

If the LT-1 makes it into the 5th gen, then of course there will be considerable depreciation of the LS3 cars. As long as the differences are only aesthetic, value and preference will come down to personal taste.

I'm so glad there's a front splitter. I was worried when it wasn't in the description and wasn't on the silver 2014 1LE. These pics just made my day.

Sweet pics - and that front splitter looks great! Non-RS is the way to go - the grille is aggressive. In one of the pics from the other thread, it looks like the 1LE spoiler gets the matte-black treatment as well. Very cool -

Then my point was made. You didn't exactly like the looks of the 02, but you at least admitted to owning one. So the "ugly" wasn't ugly enough to keep you from buying one eventually, regardless of the engine choices. I admit too that the 98's look at first blush was "wtf?" but when I saw one in person, it wasn't as bad as I first thought.

So my point stands, and it would be interesting to see a "It's too ugly- I'll never own one" list today for the '14s and then compare who's on that list 12 months from now and see if they hold true to their word. I'd bet there'd be more than one person to change their opinion.
