Truely amazing. Sounds like the salesman did you in, not the Camaro. Connectivity package is required for remote start and RS package will not give it to you. My sales person was as big a dits as yours I think, corrected her at least 4 times on my order. Total idiot.

Hard to tell by our posted pic. Was your roof rail seams painted body color or Black? If they were black, you did not have the RS Package on your car. If they charged for it it was not put on the car...

If it was, it should have had the RS emblem on the grill.

At any rate... We are getting off thead here, so good luck, and hope you get another AMB with the right options next time. Best of luck out there.

Had another space in my garage next to my new ABM so i just picked up this one.
Its an original 1967, numbers matching straight 6. Pretty rare to find one intact, most were chopped up and stuffed with a 454 and a B&M shifter. Its pretty funny to think that 3 cylinders of my new ABM 2SS produce more power than the Whole engine in the 67. Now should I paint the 67 ABM to match my new one?

what was the car? an SS? if that's the case, there will be no RS badges. you will just have red SS badges instead of white (or is it the other way around? either way no RS badges on the SS). and is it a 2SS or 1SS. this may have already been answered, but the remote start only comes with the convenience and connectivity package which only comes standard on the 2LT and 2SS... do they not? it has nothing to do with the RS package... someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. So if you got a 1SS with RS then you won't have remote start unless you also ordered the C&C package. again, correct me if i'm wrong, and sorry if someone has already told you this.

I guess it's a moot point, but I can't tell from the picture whether it's actually got the RS package. Did it have HID headlights with halos? A spoiler in the back? Darker tail lights? No black lines in the roof? If so, it's got the RS package. Otherwise, no.

Regardless, your dealer didn't know what he was talking about with the remote start. Sorry.

Depends on what you want to do. I might be inclined to keep it all matching, but I also don't particularly like Butternut Yellow...

Matching cars could be pretty sweet, though.

i hear about this a lot, the roof rail seams painted the body color on the rs. what are the roof rail seems. lol. can someone point in the direction to see the two differences?

also, i thought the SS just had different colored emblems if it was an RS and didn't have the RS badge at all? i'm wrong i take it?

Look at the circled part of the roof in these two pictures. That's the "roof ditch molding." The first is camaroincarolina's SS (black) and the second is my RS/SS (painted to match ABM).

No, you're not wrong. I think the car in question is a V6.

Chevyman1200,

Nice.
I say ABM all the way.
How cool would that be to have both of those cars sitting side by side, both ABM, at a car show.
A matching set.
1st Gen & 5th Gen.
Only three more and you would have a full set.
Wow !
