No. I think that may have been in reference to the Vararam intake he was prototyping. They had serious issues with bucking.

I'm going to assume that this is a confirmation that a re-tune can be recognized by GM no matter how long ago it was re-tuned, right?

First-time poster. About two weeks ago I started experiencing something similar with the LS3 in first gear.

It seems to me that when accelerating in first gear, the herky-jerkies are apparent. That is to say the car will surge a little bit with the gas pedal in the same position. If I purposely apply more gas (or upshift), the problem seems to diminish. It's by no means terrible, but still a bit noticeable.

After a few minutes, the problem seems to diminish (which is similar to what I've been reading in this thread.)

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents.

7500 miles on my car and it still does it and the dealer said they can't reproduce it, eventhough I took the service rep out for a ride and he felt it himself. I guess that's what have the 5 year/100K mile warranty for. She is in the storage for the winter now, so, we will see what she is like next spring.

I had this every morning - cold engine syndrom I like to call it - Added C.A.I. intake, Thorley shorties, and Flowmaster AMT cat back, it is waaaaay better now, very smooth in first gear idle coast through my townhome complex and almost no jerkiness where before is was like riding a horse.

This also happens to me when I pull off very aggressively in 1st. gear reving up to about 4500 rpms. the vehicle starts to jerk and I have to let of the gas, let's the rev reduce and then press on the gas and shift gears. Not sure if it WOT that's making this happen or what.

I get the same problem; Started after I got to 470rwhp., seems to me the car is just too fast to be driving 2-15kph., when trying to exit the condo garage. LOL
Spoke to my tuner about it an it's just normal for an M6 to do the herky-jerky when not pressing the accellerator or going a really, really slow speeds.
There are 2 types of herky-jerky, slow and fast. The fast one is most likely a RPM / Speed in certain gear limiter, get this tuned out if you can. The slow one is just the way it is.

For those where it happens more in the morning time, or on start up...Try letting your car idle to warm up for like 3-5 mins before driving it. For starters, its what your supposed to do with bigger motors to prevent damage and to help it work properly.

My car had the this problem at start up, now I have 7000 miles on my car and it has gone away. No idea what caused it.

Yeah. Seems more herky-jerky in the morning at slow speeds, once warmed up not as much. But, I still attribute it to the mods., at 470rwhp. you're going to get some of this because, quite simply the CAM wants to go, but you're not giving any gas.
