"The Mustang was not available." Does this sound like Ford didn't want to get trumped by Camaro again? I just saw the newest of new Mustangs at the Auto Show. Camaro has it beat hands down. This way, they will be in the game next year, and Camaro probably won't be because it will be the same interior and Ford's is "upgraded."
I can tell you the Mustang's interior sucketh. |

Personally I find the interior interesting, clean and tastefully executed. I would hope that it could only get better. Combined with a visually arresting exterior, an imposing yet very wieldy physical presence, what's not to like with the Camaro?

what about the fact that my tach is blocked by my steering wheel...i hope there is a conversion in the future to install the HUD on the 2010 models. either that or somehow show the rpms where the digital speedometer is...

Actually there is a lot I don't like about Camaro's interior. You can't see the headlight switch. You can't see the tach or speedo without moving your head. Trying to flip through the inane menu while driving is an impossibility. Not a deal breaker for keeping this one, but a deal breaker for buying another one.

Wards is very reliable about these things...unlike MT, or R&T, they are a very serious automotive publication...so much so that you can't even view these articles unless you have a subscription to their website or someone who does posts it for you.
Glad to read their outcomes on the Equinox and Camaro! Woo!! The 2010 Mustang was included, I assume (they didn't say it wasn't)...and 2010/2011 'Stangs have identical interiors. |

I never understand why people complain about the "Hard plastics" on the dash, how many people out there sleep on their dashboard. It's a well thought out interior with convenient controls. It also has a modern design with retro elements that blend together very well.

This is really good news
I must admit that the more I drive the camaro the more I like the layout. Everything is at my fingertips and the trunk space is huge for a car of its class Only issues are same minor niggles - no glove compartment light and hard to find the garage door opener button - but everything else is awesome - ranging from bluetooth function, to ipod interface to what is accessible via digital readout - and I can fit my wife and 2 of the kids !

That is the first non fanboy comment I have ever seen you make. I do agree with you and in all fairness to GM, they knew that building such a non ergonomic interior in favor of nostalgic features would be controvercial. There's hope for you yet Davin.
