Chevrolet Emblem on Fender

I for one do not like the emblem on the side fenders. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to replace? I would want to replace it with an SS emblem. Also, who could replace it? A body shop or the dealer and where could I buy it? Thanks...

It should be really easy to replace most of the emblems are double sided tape.just need to pop it off, clean the sticky off, and pop on the new emblem.

I like it. It reminds me of the heritage of the car. But I understand if someone doesn't like it. I do like the idea of the SS there as well. I'm definitely going to remove the bumper SS emblem

I wish they would have put the side fender logo on the front and back and not the Chevy sign. I wish they made that an option at least.

Got a pair of SS emblems on ebay and will be putting them on the fenders. Also the rear SS emblem placement on the bumper has to go. Would like to replace the bow tie on the back with the SS emblem. Both emblems just peeled off after a little TLC and prying . Also saved the tape from the bumper. No paint damage if you carefully get behind the emblem. 10 minute job. Used denatured Alcohol to remove residue from bow tie.

I'm a no badge guy, mine came off in the first day of ownership.

wet the badge down with goo gone...keep dripping it for 20 min every 5-20 min. Use fishing line (20 lb braid works best, dental floss ok in a pinch) and it will almost fall off. The rear badge might look good inside, but def looks better than the current side markers:

Debadging is an extremely easy process. Been doing the same method for ages. The only thing you need to pay attention is to see if the part the badge is on has an indentation. Like c7 emblems while being badges, the hood and trunk has molded places for the badges. So if you take it out, it looks terribad. Thankfully the camaro does not have molded spots for badges (except front bowtie).

Simple step by step to debadge:
- Use a Heat gun OR a hair dryer on the badges for 3 to 5 minutes. High heat on a hairdryer and low heat on a heat gun. Key to using heat is to be surgical with it. Keep it up close for 10 seconds then turn it off and proceed to #2 dash below then come back to this. Instead of putting heat straight on the badges, by doing it in less seconds and more repeats you reduce the risk of any damage heat may cause.
- Use a Fishing line OR dental floss in a "saw motion, left to right and right to left" after you sticking the fishing line or dental floss between the badge and body part. MAKE SURE you pull the fishing line or dental floss TOWARDS YOU and NOT towards the paint. Fishing line works best BUT you CAN use dental floss.
- Once the badges are off, goo gone (can grab it from walmart, pretty cheap in a small bottle). Spray or rub the goo gone (cotton wipes or Q tip) on the remaining glue residue from the badge. Follow the instructions that are writting ON goo gone (i will say it may damage car paint but it does NOT. I have done this process 10+ times).
- Once all residue is off, clean the spots with water (a damp cloth will work just fine) and dry it. After drying, wax it and you are good to go!
