good luck getting any power out of our motor. Like ndtguy said either do a swap or sell it like I'm doing.

It totally depends what you're trying to get out of the car. I mean, if you're willing to spend X-amount of dollars, it might be best to consider saving the money and starting with a LS1 car. Economics is the deciding factor when you consider what you'll spend to get the 3800 running with a stock LT1 or LS1. However, if you like to do things to be obstinate, then I'd surmise it best to tailor your build around two snail-looking things. That would be unique and you can say GFY to anyone insulting a V6. Really, how much is it going to take to put 300rwhp down with a 3800? That's what you'll have with a 100% stock LS1 out of the box. You can find a very nice LS1 car for less than $10k. I spent $11k on mine, but that's only because I wanted a 2002 and only looked for one month. You don't need to go with the newest or lowest miles, either. Just find a well-maintained car. Even if it has higher miles, as long as it's been cared for, you won't have to worry. Think about it -- any thing you'd want to replace on a 100k car you'd want to mod anyway. Further, if it's little things like window motors or sensors, they are immaterial costs that you'd end up paying for in the future as your low-mile car is on the road. Let someone else take the hit in their wallet, and you enjoy raw, affordable power.

That was great. Truthfull too! I am sure a properly size single will do wonders. I know there is a guy on LS1tech that did that to his v6. It's one v6 I would never insult. Quote:

Couldn't help but laugh. You can't "chip" a car anymore, you can only get tunes. There's CAI's and lids for the V6. As others said though you aren't going to get far with that motor N/A. The only V6 fourth gens I've seen making decent numbers and time slips are running FI. The cost of FI for me is too much just to get a car into the 12's.

I'm guessing you may want to peruse camaro v6(.)com (not sure why I can't type this url) to see if anyone on there has done such a thing. Building a turbo system is pretty straight-forward and isn't necessarily vehicle-specific. However, it's not going to be cheap. Really, if you go down that route, be prepared to spend some money. It's also going to be custom work. www.theturboforums.com might be of help, too.
Then again, you could go to the junkyard and pull stuff off factory turbo cars like old Thunderbirds, Escorts, etc. It's not going to be the best stuff, but at least you could get a kit fabbed up and replace things when you have the money. After looking at ndtguy's recent thread, it appears as though he has some experience.

First thing you need to do is this. Decide if you want a front mout or a rear mount. There are advantages and disadvantages of both. Next, figure out on paper what you need to properly turbo your car, if there isn't a kit already made. I'm sure if you hit up some v6 fbody boards, someone their is going to have a v6 turbo car. Last, figure up the total cost (turbo, hot parts, intake parts, intercooler, blow-off valve, wastegate, injectors, fuel pump, and tune are minimal. Depending on your power/boost level, might need bigger fuel lines and forged bottom end). My advice after you have the total for the cost of parts and labor (for the other things you don't want to install/can't install for lack of time/skill/whatever), add another 50% to the total for a more realistic cost. Then you'll be covered with how much cash it will take to get there. If your on a stock engine, I would not go past 8# of boost and make sure who ever is tuning your car, knows what they are doing and they've tuned many turbo cars. Good luck with whatever you decide. If you need to ask questions, that's what we're here for.

Oh dear.. I don't think I will be taking that route then. I wasn't looking for that big or expensive of a project. I was just thinking of a couple things that would give me some extra ponies here and there
