I am looking for similar info... On LS3 or L99 Have both and would be interested in any input from anybody who has made the change. Recomendations would be much appriciated. Which gear did you choose for what etc. I am Goingt in for a little more boost afuel pump upgrade and a new tune to accomadate the changes and thought I might add gears as long as I was going for the tune so I could get speedo recalibrated at the same time etc. Anybody have any iput...? |

Just got my 4:10's last week. Richmond brand. I can hear a little whine. It really changes the driving dynamics. You can use third with no worry of a felony speeding ticket. No regrets!

Going with Richmond 4.10s for my M6. Seems like all Richmond gears whine some - so I expect that. My plan is to take the 3.45 center unit out of my M6 and put it in my A6. Then put the 4.10s in my M6. The A6 doesn't need much gear help because of the deep 4.03 1st gear. But the M6 needs a big gear to compensate for the tall 3.01 1st gear AND 20 inch wheels.

I have serveral customers running around with both the 3.73 and 4.10 gears. So far no complaints. Sold a set of 3.73's to Macedo Motorsports in Orlando. He installed them in Phillip Sims HPE Supercharged Camaro. I got a chance to talk with Phillip at the Camaro 5 Fest. He said he loved them. They really woke the car up.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any real feedback. I know of at least 1 Richmond 4.10 failure ( talked to the guy who had them fail ) and I heard of a few others while at the Camaro5Fest. I know one gentleman that is very happy with his Lingenfelter 3.70's, that may be the route I go if I do gears at all. My question is why, with a 6spd manual car do you need a tune ( to correct mph ), my understanding is the speedometer input is the ABS wheels sensors.
