4l80e VSS connection

like the title says, how are y'all getting a vss singnal from your 4l80e? Can I just splice in a different connector? Do I just need a differenct speed sensor for the trans?

My swap details are:
2011 camaro ss
M6 to 4l80e
Manual VB
Late model 4l80e core

I was hoping the wheel speed sensors would take over in lieu of the trans VSS. The only issue is I am running 26" fronts and 28" rears so I think that could be part of what is going on. I will prob put my stock rims and tires on the front and see if that helps. I figured I would post here for other ideas...since I would like to keep my 26" fronts for better tires choices.

Thank you,

Paul

Thank you both. I did read that and the issues is I am using jake's MVB box...not an optishift or other trans controller like diet coke did. I know I could buy the optishift box (or other) if needed to get it all working but I was hoping there is another way.

Same here --- IDENTICAL! --- I know this has been done (by a few) and just wish we could get those to chime in .... I did have speedo working for a small bit but that is gone - I know speed sensors work but tire config comparable - and really want VSS for logging, speedo, and cruise (not that I will use it much).

I also have seen where a possible GPS sender could help this ....

Please please post if you have or find anything out on this....

Thanks

what does the factory VSS in a 5th gen use? is it not getting its signal from the M6 trans? sorry for the dumb question but have not messed with 5th gens that much yet, but got VSS working in a M6 to 4l80 swap in a 4th gen....
