CAI question
I haven't modded my 2LS yet at all. My question is this, since I have no experience doing any kind of work with cars, is this something that should be done at a shop or a dealership if I decide to buy a CAI? Or is it something I can do myself.

You can do it yourself, just follow the instructions. Even for a person with no experience, you should be able to get it done in less than 45-60 minutes, taking your time.

If you get a Cold Air Inductions intake it should take you 30 minutes or less

Well at least it's not that involved. Maybe I can watch a youtube video and see how it's done first.

its 1 nut and a couple of hose clamps, honestly a simple mod. the only part that requires being real careful is removing the MAF sensor from the stock intake and placing it in the new one. just dont drop it or bang it and try not putting your fingers on the sensor itself.

there are actually videos that show you step by step for most brands and just be careful of removing the sensor the rest is pretty easy. make sure you unhook your battery

best thing to do with the sensor is once you take it out of the stock tube put it strait into the new one, dont set it down or do anything else with it.

Our CAI is 100% bolt-on and there is nothing complex about the installation. The CAI will include color photo instructions, and there is also some videos (done by customers) on our YouTube Channel showing how to install it. We also have tech support available from 8-4:30 EST M-F.

Just make sure that you disconnect the battery first. If not the Check Engine Light will appear cause of the Mass Airflow Sensor. Other than that you should be fine. Follow the instructions and you will love the sound of whatever CAI you get. ( My recommendation is to get the Roto-Fab CAI)

Roto-Fab or CAI are good ones. I just put a CAI on my ZL1 a couple of days ago and am VERY happy with how it looks, and so far, how it functions.
