The center post will not require drilling into the trunk lid. It will use double stick tape or silicone adhesive to attach. The center post is there for support.

Not quite fire breather? I think you should refer to it as the "better than fire breather"...haha... I can't give you an estimate on the CF version till I'm done with the prototype and I figure out manufacturing costs. We're working on the mold

Update: Back to the drawing board as far as getting a car in for prototyping. TCAT ran into some problems with CHP and can't drive the car down till he gets everything taken care of. So we'll probably end up getting a rental Camaro to do the work. Popped the firebreather out of the mold the other day. Gonna start on the new fiberglass prototype tomorrow. Will have pics up by the end of the week.

Here's the progress on the fiberglass prototype so far:
Took 2" out of the width (front to back)
Flattened the middle of the top surface
Fixed outer edges so they flow better

To do list:
Add the "kick up" on the back side, for more of a dovetail look.
Change the design of the outer points
Move the outer creases further outward
Flatten the "V" shape on the leading edge

We'll be getting a Camaro in the shop next saturday for further prototyping and test fitting and will have better pics to post. Till then this is all you get...

Awesome. Exactly what I was looking for, and the reason I didn't go with the Firebreather.

I don't really want to put an exact date on when they'll be done and end up going back on my word later because manufacturing can't pump them out in time. Ideally I would like to get them done by at least mid December, but don't quote me on that. Ballpark estimate on pricing for unpainted fiberglass wing will be around $395-$425. I still have to see if manufacturing will be able to do the carbon fiber versions. If so, they will probably be around $495-$525. I'm also thinking about offering a paint match option for the fiberglass, not sure on the pricing for that yet but it will most likely be under $200
