Reduced drive train noise with headers?

Hey guys so I was just wondering when you put on long tube headers and you get that increased noise from the engine. If you would also do a cam install and switch out the valves would it get better? since i hear a lot of people say the gm either spring or valves are not good and very noisy

Please share some insight on this thanks

You're probably always going to have some valve noise from the exhaust valves to some degree or another. Stock manifolds do a great job of dampening noises and headers amplify it.

Plan on more noise. Especially if you do a cam and valve spring upgrade. Honestly though it isn't that bad.

I'd recommend a magnaflow resonated x pipe to quiet down the raspiness of the exhaust note once long tubes headers are installed.

Its not even that bad on engines with open headers.

I have less of some of the valvetrain noise I had stock. My stock lifters or something were noisy.

I would plan on more noise, as well. My LS2 TBSS was very noisy, but once the cutout was open, all that noise went away haha.

I don't know. I didn't care for tone at WOT. It was loud for me. But I'm an older guy.

Just run headers and a nice cat back system like this http://texas-speed.com/p-34-tsp-2010...ess-steel.aspx. You won't even be able to hear the valvtrain noise in the car over the awesome sound of the exhaust.

I never had valve train noise and still do not, and I used 7.375 length pushrods my builder/g.m. guru insisted on even with measurements as he claims 7.40 are more for l-99
