Help with cleaning rubber strips...

The rubber strips that run along the bottom of the exterior windows.. I dont know if it's from the sun or what but I have blotches on mine. Does anybody
Know of any products that will restore the black? Thanks...

I just ordered a kit. Do you do the trim before or after washing or waxing.
