18 in wheels

Admittedly, this puts me in a position where I have to pay a premium price for the Forgestar or choose another wheel which I really don't like.

I'm just a victim of coicumstances...nyuk nyuk.

To get the look I want, I'll probably have to take more drastic action, hence the removal of the large calipers.
I feel your frustration. That is exactly why I started this thread. I was sooooooo frustrated trying to find some nice 18 in wheels. Try sending a PM to Group-A Wheels. I have finally found some that are not the bottom rung cheepest wheels and not the top end uber expensive ones but I like them. They are more than I wanted to pay but I like them enough to be okay with it. Maybe he can help you find some you like in your price range. Good luck & keep us posted.

Hey Ruby,

So,... which ones did you finally decide on. I've been looking at 18" wheels and really wanted to go with the 18" wheel because I wanted a lighter wheel and the added sidewall height gives that true muscle car look. I looked at F-14's but i'm not a big fan of mesh style wheels so,.... i'm leaning towards the CF-5, but wish I could find a good quality lightweight 18" wheel that will fit over my SS Brembos. I know i'll have to remove the roller skates which I dont mind, but I wanna keep my brembos though. I like the look of the classic Crager SS wheels,.... which has been copied by many others over the years such as the American Racing Torque Thrust, and Boss wheels also has a copy. Im just not sure which ones of the 18" ones will fit my Brembos. Good luck in your search and keep us posted.

Well mine will be more because I want them custon painted in RJT and anything in RJT costs more. Send him (Group-A Wheels ) a PM & tell him what you want & he will PM you a quote. I didn't think they were too bad. Not the cheapest but not several thousand like some wheels.

I could never find anything that showed the weights for these tires. However, I know someone who is running the 265's in the front and 305's in the rear. Using the TSW Nurburgring wheels. So doing some calculations based on what he said was his total weight savings, I have concluded the following, the 265's weigh approx. 32 lbs. and the 295's are slightly heavier at around 33 lbs.

Hopefully someone else can chime in if they have any other info for these weights.
