how to remove the bowtie

Is there an easy way to remove the bowtie from my new heritage grill? I just like the clean no emblem look.

Yes. There's 4 tabs on the backside of the bowtie you must push to the side to get it out. It helps if you have strong small hands to reach through the grill. Also, there is an indent for the bowtie as well as holes for the tabs in the grill, so it won't look very good if you just remove it. You should buy the bowtie delete pad. It covers the indents and holes and makes it look like there never was a bowtie. It's a pretty cheap mod. My guess is around 30 bucks.

Heritage grille doesn't have the indents or holes on it but there is no easy way to pop the bowtie loose. The easiest way I could figure out to do it was with a long flat head screw driver to pop the tabs in. after that its just a regular phillips head to remove the mounting bracket.

If you haven't gotten it figured out by tonight I will try and post pictures of the bracket when I get home.

Well,... it's at a buddy of mines body shop getting the front bumper cover repainted because some jerk off backed into it and drove off. I asked him to remove the bow tie emblem from the new heritage grill and he just gave me a call asking if there was an easy way to remove it because he didnt want to damage a new heritage grill.
