Turbo, meth, N20, and so much more new pics and drag tonight

Well everyone tonight is the night I'm about to run her in the 1/4 for the first time and I'm hoping to lay down a solid time for all of us turbo guys. I'll be running all the bells and whistles including the nitrous and meth in conjunction with the turbo. I dynoed on Wednesday at 458RWHP so if I can hook on street tires it should be pretty quick. I'm posting some pics of the new N20 set up below.

Alright so I'm trying to do this from my phone and it's not cooperating. But if you look in the album My Camaro on my profile there are a lot more pics of the car and system. I'll try to get them up tonight after I hit the track.

Well I must say, I'm a bit disappointed. My best run was a 13.7 at 107.55. I know the car is capable of so much more but I was having trouble getting it to launch, and hook, and the nitrous was acting up as was the traction control, it didnt seem to want to spray without it, but having in on kills the launch and cuts power when it sprays and skills the wheels a bit which I can't have happening because that could create a lean condition. Oh well guess I have some tuning to do. The car is a monster on the streets and from a roll but just not quite there for the drag strip yet. How are other guys with turbos running?

Thanks for sharing, although that is disappointing. But hang in there...I'm sure you'll get a MUCH better time, as that car should be 1.5 to 2 seconds faster in the quarter if you can get a good launch and smooth shifts.

Yeah the ET calculators had it around an 11.6, and I know for a fact from a roll it can take a C6 vette. I don't think the N20 was hitting tonight for whatever reason and I know the launch was an issue. I'm sure with some tuning and mods I can get it down where it should be

All in good time, you'll be there. I can say the Mickey Thompson ET Drag radials 305/20 help me hook up with my combination. I get 1.66 60' from those tires. They fit nice on the stock rims too and don't rub. Good luck next time out.

I think I will look into a set of drag radials for it, I also think I really need a stouter transmission for that amount of power. I also think that once I get the progressive controller for the nitrous back on it will be alot more controllable in the lower gears and will activate more reliably, I'm pretty sure on a few runs it never hit at all.

Where are you at in Maryland? You're welcomed to meet up and you could see how the M/Ts fit on my car. We can even try a hit on my nitrous so you can feel/see how they hook up if you want to.

I live in Calvert County, so southern Maryland. But I would be willing to drive to meet you to see how the M/T's feel on the car. I'm in Kansas at the moment for college, but will be back for break in November. If the offer still stands I'll definatly take you up on it. On an unrelated note, does anyone know of any mods or any shops capable of rebuilding the manual trans to hold more power. At a calculated 530 horses at the crank and an after market clutch I feel I may soon end the life of my tranny if it's not built up a bit

Does the V6 come with the same trans as the SS? And definitely power is being cut back as seen by the 107 trap speed. Just takes some time and practice and sticky tires are a must

Not even remotely close to the same transmission.

. Yeah and it's rated for something like 360 foot pounds

Of torque which I am way over, but it seems no one knows how to beef it up to handle more.
