I know this might be asked a lot but anyone think it would be a good idea to remove my rally stripes on my 2010 ss, I really dont want it there anymore. they're stock so im afraid it might leave a mark or something on the paint.. any ideas... white camaro

obiously you'll be ok on the hood since your'll cover it anyway. But even white paint fades I think, so I'd be afraid it would show on the trunk lid. Can you check with a reputable paint shop in your area, see what they think?

If you're going to replace the hood, you won't need to remove the stripes on the old hood. See if maybe a new hood might be your best option.

Nice. But those carbon pieces will come with a hefty price tag.

If you decide to remove the stripes, a good buffer and the right products will eliminate the "faded" look of the rest of the paint. Since you are making the jump to CF, make sure you get the parts clear coated A.S.A.P to keep them from turning yellow.

Just FYI, we have removed plenty of the stock vinyls to paint the stripes on and we haven't run into any yet that have been faded that bad. What we mostly see is it will be smooth under the vinyls and the rest of the hood will have swirls/scratches, but nothing a little wet sanding and buffing can't take care of.
I wish you the best of luck with the carbon creation pieces. Hopefully they fit and look better than the normal extreme dimension body kit stuff. We've dealt with the side skirts before, but never the complete replacement panels (trunk, hood etc).
