Question Such a thing as a "SuperHydrophobic" car wax?

I have read a report on what Nissan is currently developing but... screw Nissan! I need it for my Chevrolet Camaro (and future Camaro's!)

I have seen "NeverWet", but I heard that it leaves behind a white, pasty residue. This, of course, would be a nightmare for us, black car owners.

Upon doing some research, I have seen this spray called "NanoDiamond Shield", I am not sure if anyone has tried this or have heard anything about it?

When my current wax/wash runs out, I plan on purchasing all Meguiar Gold class wash/wax for my black camaro.

Has anyone ever used/seen someone use a Superhydrophobic car wax?

The most hydrophobic sealants I've seen would be Gtechniq Exo v2 and Sonax Polymer Net Shield. I happen to use both.

There is no superhydrophobic wax or paint sealant available on the market as of now. However, you can damn well bet that it is being worked on since the technology is already there, it just needs to be made completely transparent. Even the video Nissan released of the car with the superhydrophobic coating showed that the treated side wasn't as glossy as the side with bare paint.
