locking Fuel door

I couldn't understand when I bought my car how come the gas cap wasn't locking, But today I just got a camaro catalog in the mail. They have 3 cool locking fuel doors for 189.00. I'm getting one!

Look for the coupon thread the General Discussion forum for a discount code.

I've had the defenderworx brushed aluminum locking fuel door since June '09 & still looks / works great.

They look cool, but at $189, IMHO it's not a worthy investment. If you're worried about vandalism or gas being stolen, Stant makes a locking cap for like $15. If it's an appearance thing...I can't argue with ya on that one. It's all personal preference.

I second that.

$189.00 that's almost 4 full tanks of gas. No return on investment until the fifth gets attempted.

Agreed - it's more for show then for security. A determined vandal will defeat the chapman lock easily.

BTW I have the Stant locking gas cap as well for when we travel & must leave her unattended.
