20x9 front tires too small
I bought 255/35ZR20s for the front. Anyone else ever run this size on the front? After doing it I think it kinda looks stupid since there is a lot of gap between tire and fender. Tires were dirt cheap so that's why I got the size I did.

if your wheels are 20 x 9's......you should have put 275/40's on like so many of us have done.

For my money the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the best all-around tire on the market for a Camaro and that tire is not even made in the 275/40 size.

You can put a 275/35 on it with no problem. Speedo is a little off but nothing major.

I got 275/40's on the rear. 255/40 is what tirerack recommended for the front size. I went 35 for pricing difference. About 80 bucks per tire difference.

Are you sure tire rack didn't think you had 20x8 on the front?

Ahh, I see my issue. it was a 255/45 recommendation not 255/40. Im happy with how wide they are. I just didn't know if anyone else had ever run this size. Im going to upgrade at the turn of the year to taller fronts. I just couldn't resist buying these tires at 100 per tire.

Ya you can get a taller tire to fill up the gap a little. I wanted a better tire and am willing to live with the gap, plus I have coil overs so I can lower the car and close the gap to my liking.

20X9 you need 275/40/20 shit I'm running 275/40 on 20x8.5 and awesome results. I'm surprised your not having any issues with the tpms

I was unaware of running a small tire like this causing TPMS issues? What kind of issues? I decided to run 275/40 out back. I went with a smaller tire on the front for narrower diameter, Just didn't think it through well enough with the fronts. I agree with what you guys are saying, but I got a whole set of wheels, 4 new tires and 4 new TPMS for under $1000 bucks. So I really can't complain too much.

Ok. 20x10 rear recommended by tirerack was 285/40/20, 20x9 front recommended by tirerack was 255/45/20. The 285/40/20 size is extremely expensive with not much selection from what I could find. The sizes I got were for my budget. I never said tire rack recommended the wrong sizes. All I asked was if anyone else ever ran any tires as small as my fronts and their thoughts.
