Again... sorry if answered already... not going to read the whole thread. If compression is good, then you have a problem with the blower itself, or related system. It is not that the blower is "just too small". I don't know who is checking the car but if a problem like that cant be found, you need another set of eyes. It shouldn't be rocket science to figure out. Good luck and let us know if you solve the mystery.

Yeah thx. We're checking in on the cam to make sure all the specs are right for the motor. Magnuson did the match of everything I got and said s/c was only spinning at 14000 and it should be between 20-22000. That was before we added the cog. Drive

Have you talked to PCM of NC about your setup? They are in mooresville and I'm pretty sure they could figure out what your issue is.

Yea putting a bigger blower on wont fix your issue. well it may cause the issue s something with the maggie. We have done TONS of big CI motors with BIG cams with the TVS 2300 and they always make boost. you would have to have no pistons in there and a baseball as an exhaust port for the blower to not make boost. You have something wrong for sure. Its not you cam being to big, that thing should NOT fall off to 0 PSI unless you have valves hanging open and it cant build boost.
I have taken BIG NA cams not made for FI and used them with BIG NA setups and put a 2300 on them and they still will make power and PSI.(customer wanted this) take it to a shop that works with Maganchargers and blowers alot. If they know what there doing they will figure it out for you for sure. |

Here are links to two videos that show how the bypass works when it is operating properly. The bypass is open when the engine is at idle to conserve fuel. When the throttle is applied (as in the second video) the vacuum pulls the lever on the bypass and the bypass is closed, allowing the engine to make boost. If you block off the inlets for the bypass it will not ever shut and you will not ever have boost. This is why the routing of the bypass vacuum lines are so important. If you have someone mash the gas you should see that little lever move. This is your problem. Get that working properly and you will have boost.

The vacuum lets it stay open for no boost!
