You should have him no problem. A GXP would give you a run for your money.

Yeah, if he had the GXP i would be concerned lol, but I'm not I'll be getting the AFM range aoon as well to eliminate the lag.

It will be fairly close in a 1/8th, but you should get it in the 1/4 with ease. Those G8s launch well, so don't spin lol

Should be pretty close!
G8 GT's were right about 4,000lbs..so he is only really about 75lbs more than you. |

That is what I like to here, he will end up waiting until spring, as my car is already hibernating for winter.

+1 Two years ago I ran a GXP at the track and he had the exact same mods as me. The only difference was he had a set of drag radials that he puts on at the track. He did beat me but it was all my fault, I was sleeping at the line. So he got about 2 car lengths on me, but I was able to real him a lot but lost by about 1/4 of a car. I think he ran a 12.84 to my 12.98. If I had not been sleeping at the line I would have had him, so a stock G8 with street tires you should not have a problem.

What about a Cam'd gt ? I have one around my area and he always revs me it's insanely annoying. He has a mild cam an bolt ons and beats on the car all the time, wondering how I'd match up?

Well since its December and you're in Ohio who ever has the better winter set up will get the w.. G8's are slugs stock (13.5@10x car). Once you start modding them they're in right with the 5th gen camaro's. Bolt on gt's run 12's and heads/cam/stall can get you any where from high 11's to 10's

My last ride was a M6 GXP. Loved that car, got rid of it because I didn't want a rare care like that. Most of the time it's a drivers race so stay on your toes. And yes my GXP and my SS are within 100lbs of each other.
