LS7 Automatic
I will be replacing my L99 with an LS7 engine. It is saying I need part number
19243066 "ECU" I am wondering if that ECU works with an automatic or should I have my ECU programed to run the LS7??? |

You can leave your computer in there. Who is doing the swap for you?

Good luck with the swap man and good power plant choice. I love mine. Keep me posted on how it goes.

That is probably the vette ECM for that engine. Like others said try to make the one you have work first. There are some threads about programming it.

Why do you want to go with an LS7? Not that it is not a badass engine, but you could achieve the same power or more for a lot less money. A cam swap, headers, etc. would probably give you the 500 hp. Or do a stroker build if you really want to, still a lot cheaper than the LS7.

Hope this helps! Oh btw, if you start going into new engine, you need to save up a lot more money, because you'll need it or your car ends up sitting in a shop unfinished for months. Trust me, I've seen it! Do your homework first, find out every thing you need, how much for the parts and labor and shipping, before you let someone touch your car. |
