C5 Fest Dyno Pulls by East Coast Supercharging
Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any threads about the dyno runs during the fest. But before I post up my results, I just wanted to give a shout out to East Coast Supercharging for giving out free dyno’s during the fest. It was so worth the wait and thanks for blowing out all that carbon. As soon as I’m ready for my first tune, I will definitely be calling you guys up!!!
1st pull – 403 hp / 407 ftlbs 2nd pull - 407 hp / 411 ftlbs ***Mods: SLP Long tube headers, X-pipe, Loud Mouth I, and Yellowjacket CAI*** Thanks again and hope you all made it back to Jersey safe and sound!! **EDIT: Adding video of my dyno run** Last edited by Bee; 04-21-2010 at 09:08 PM. |

No tune yet...just letting the LS3 breath a little better is all it took to hit the 400hp mark

I am waiting on the Mustang Dyno I go to, to confirm some numbers compared to the last time I went to it. ECS dyno was telling me that I had lost 20 hps and 20 lbs of torque AFTER adding longtubes w/CAI and tune. But at the same time their dyno told me that my torque is higher than my HP. So I don't see how any numbers they gave me made sense. Another car went on after me, it was an SS, and his numbers were 9% and 12% less respectively, than his previous dyno run. Now it was hot, but it wasn't 95 degrees out either. I had mine done on a similar day, indoors. Plus temperatures should not combine to a 9% loss in HP numbers.
Anyway I am grateful that it was free, but I am gonna wait and see what my dyno says before I take ECS's word and figure out whats wrong with my car. BTW Mustang dyno numbers on my stock setup: 246 HP 240 lbs ECS Dynpack numbers after mods: 224 HP and 227 lbs........no way I put 14.7 sec qtr mile in this heavy of a car if my car is that weak.

With just a vararam intake on an otherwise stock LS3 we put down 386hp/380tq at the wheels. They said the car with the vararam on it put down 10-15 hp more than any other camaro with only an aftermarket intake on it the entire day they were dynoing.

Nice numbers! I was close to the end also and was told my 378hp/374tq at the wheels was one of best for stock and CAI.

Yeah, she was talking about condensation from the exhaust. It may seem like a lot, but totally worth IMO.

Here is my Kali on the dyno at Fest. I too got a little wet!!!
She has StainlessWorks longtube headers with SW cats & cans and 3 inch pipes. And a Vararam. A little tune she did slightly better than Bee's but since we have been home I have added some more upgrades. We'll post them when she is finished. |

Please understand that you are not "taking our word for it", your numbers are what your car put down on that day, on that dyno. We do not adjust, or change settings, etc, so what it says is what it is. Sorry if the numbers were not what you were hoping for, several others during the day were very happy with their numbers, but either way it was not up to us to decide. Thanks for the kind words folks, it was a pleasure meeting you. |
