What fuel are you running ?
Hearing octane might be a cause of concern. What brand specific are you running ? Might be useful if you told what part of the country you're in because of unavailability in certain areas. Are there any companies not adding Ethenol ?
Shell ? Sunoco ? Thanks. |

Sunoco 89 here in NW New Jersey - even though the LLT takes 87 I figure it deserves a bit more... don't plan on going higher. I believe I noticed a improvement over the first tank which I am sure was 87 from the Dealer. I am on my fourth tank and it sounds and feels better than the first 300 miles (changed dino oil at 900 miles, switching to Mobil 1 at 3,000 when I get there).

I run Sunoco 93. I used to run 94 until they stopped it 1 1/2 years ago. I would run Texaco if there was a station near me.

Haven't gotten my car yet, but when I do I'll pretty much either be running Shell or Exxon 93. I'm usually a Shell customer if there's one there. Otherwise it's Exxon.

when I do get it, I will run nothing but 93 in it--whatever brand available.

I think 91 is the highest you can get here in SW Missouri, hopefully she will run fine on that...

I am running a quality (exxon, chevron, shell) 87 because that is what the owners manual calls for. You SS guys have to run the 93 octane and so does my wife's Escalade. One of the reasons I love my LLT!!!

Nothing less than 91 Octane. Supercharger in my Cobalt SS/SC runs noticeably better on 91/93. Costs me about $45.00 on average to fill up my LS3.
