Question about Ambient Lighting - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi all -

Does anyone know if the ambient lighting really looks like this picture?

And if it changes colors or not?

My order is a 2SS Silver with Orange Accent interior. If the ambient lighting is by LED, then changing the colors may be as easy as software changes. Any ideas?

They don't change color... if you have the orange accent interior, they will be orange... otherwise they are blue. You can probably swap out the LED to make it another color.

and it doesnt go across the dash anymore
P.S i dont think the ABL is orange, i thinks its orange, we have a vid of the pre-pro one in the video threads
The rings around the gauges are red, so im assuming they will use red for the ABL on the doors when you order the IO interior like i did

change out your LED to a million color add a controller and it can be any one of a million colors. It's not a software change, it's the color of the LED that determines the color of light.

No, that was a concept drawing. The final ABL is limited only to the doors. On normal models it is a sort of bluish color and with the inferno interior it is an orangey red. There have not been any real good pics to show the ABL yet because you can really only see it in the dark.

are you able to turn the abl off when you don't want it to be that bright in the car?

well there is the Dubai video with the real ABL, just picture it withot the dash. Apparently they had heating issues only on the dash.
Anyways it shows the IO interior lit up, with red ring gauges, and redy ABL
