Mast Motorsports has some awesome VVT cams that would fit his budget. They were first to the market with these..

did you miss the post where he says that it includes the cost and installation of a torque converter?

A cam with torque converter installed and tuned will run into the $3700 range. (Ask me how I know.) That includes the LS3 conversion.

You said to ask. Where did that quote come from? My local guy tells me $3500 for just The LS3 swap no converter. Is that to high?

Talk to IPS Brandon to get a quote.

Note, the guys at IPS have done a lot of work on my car and tuned it several times, so Brandon is usually kind to me on the retune work. So, a new install may run a bit higher.
