Has anyone's seats started to wear? I'm talking about the suede part.

I guess that's your opinion. I wouldn't say it looks better or worse. My car came with leather, if it had the suede it would not have been a deal breaker. I was just happy to have gotten a car in 2012. The were pretty hard to come by especially in Canada. 99 cars.

Anybody using any kind of seat covers to help protect the wear on the suede seats?

Gently clean it every now and again with a very mild damp cloth and brush then blot dry to keep it looking new. There's several videos on youtube on keeping alcantara (what we refer to as suede). It will wear eventually, but so does the non-suede. Just keep things clean.

I got a big fat discount on my car to below base MSRP, and it came with suede, so essentially the gas guzz tax and every single option were free. I'll gladly trade free for a bit more detailed cleaning.

Check out AMMONYC's YouTube page.

Larry does a whole video on how to care for the alcanterra. His tips will get your suede lookin brand new in no time.

I use his method on the seats and they still look beautiful.

I'm with you. I saved the $500 on the suede option and spent it on a nice Hurst shifter. I love the leather.
