geez dude, that sucks! im not trying to say that older people shouldnt drive, but they should be tested quite often. i cant even count all the times ive almost gotten hit or got very closely cut off by people who looked to be in their late 70s and up. Im not trying to bag on the elderly, but driving is dangerous. and people who cant do it safely shouldnt be allowed to. some can tho, my grandpa drove until the day he died at age 88, and was still driving completely fine, if a little more cautious than he used to be. People over the age of 70 should have to take a driving test every year, or at least every 2. if they can still drive fine, they have nothing to worry about. just MO

I'm liking your thinking there, Skyman!

OP - I know all too well of your sadness and heartbreak at this point . Seven weeks ago, I was involved in an accident with a 62 y.o. woman on her cellphone. $9600 in damage. I'm very glad to hear that you didn't sustain very serious injuries. These cars will protect you.

Make sure you go to a shop that you completely trust and will go toe-to-toe with the insurance adjuster (ask for recommendations from your local club if need be). Make sure your mainframe has not be affected. Demand brand new GM replacement parts (not stuff from any "salvaged" vehicles). And fight for another Camaro for the time your car is in the shop. Her fault - her responsibility. You - and Babybee - deserve nothing less. Please keep us posted.

Your well over 2800... I was rear ended and it only produced scratches. I made them replace the entire rear bumper and it cost 2200. The shop claimed their was a wiring harness in the ass end as well. Yours is going to be more as you have the exhaust and such. Also my car was out of commission for 3 weeks. I hope you get yours much quicker than that.

They won't - there is most likely no frame damage - all cosmetic.
I've had this same thing happen to me twice - though the first time was just a cracked bumper. The second time it looked much like poor Baby Bee up there :( - the bumper nearly ripped off and the exhaust screwed to hell. Kid caused $8500 in damage and it was all cosmetic. Though I believe the estimate came after they actually had it up on a lift, but I'm not sure since I had it towed to the shop. It's probably similar in this case though - all cosmetics that can be fixed and she'll be good as new (though it will take forever and that will suck the most)

At any rate - the wait will stink - but she'll come back with her new booty surgery and look better then new

Hard to say if the frames bent by looking at it. Definitely will be pulling to align it. Beating back into place. Replacing cosmetic exterior parts. So much for pristine condition. Glad you're ok tho.
