I doubt it matters to you Joepitt, but I'm sure you realize that with "drive-by-wire", with key in the "on" position, engine off, pushing the accelerator will NOT open the throttle body? With fuel injection you couldn't "flood" it anyway.
I'm just sayin'...............

Then you are wasting your money...but it's your money and you can do with it as you please. I used to believe that I was supposed to ignore the indication as well until we had a big thread on here and a lot of research was brought into light and we realized that with the technology in oil and sensors today, the sensors are probably right on.

You still have to reset the indicator.

There are no oil quality/life sensors in GM vehicles. It's all calculated from existing data, like RPM, coolant temperature, etc. It's quite accurate anyway.

There's no need to hang on to old superstitions. Most cars go to the junkyard without ever having had a problem that could be blamed on oil change intervals, oil product choice, etc.

My 2002 GMC has 180,000 miles with some bad oil change habits...er...I just remembered that I've already posted this.

Come on, how you reset the oil life meter, thats your gripe. My 96 Impala SS does this the same way, the ss/sc has buttons. But more importantly who really cares how you reset the oil life meter.
can you post a link to that, i lol'ed when i read that

Is there some sort of exhausting intake bypass valve on the turbo version? Also, if it does have the valve, does that also mean that it can make boost in reverse? Like how much boost? Like 5 psi or does it go over 20?

Can anyone help me sort this out?

and yeah, this is one of the lamest things to complain about.
like, really? ha, lame. thats all i have to say.

i also heard a nasty rumor that you had to exit the car to get gas!
my mom used to do the same thing when i was a youngster in our 80's model suburban! That "is pretty lame for these days"
