A non-traditional cam lope video

I just had to share, thought this was funny. Alvin and I took off to lunch today in our 2010 RS/SS (our 545 cam, tvs 2300, 700rwhp) and grabbed Starbucks on the way back - needed a pick me up to tackle the rest of the day's jobs in the 95 degree swampy heat. I looked over at him and saw his drink just shaking away at idle, muahahaha!

Man...I've really been leaning towards this cam until I saw this video. I really like the lope it makes on the outside but this video worries me that it will be more than I'm looking for inside the cabin.

I know cams are give and take but I think I would be willing to give up a little power and lope for a decent ride from inside the car. I might have to put the LPE GT-11 back on my list again. Just wish the GT-11 had a little more lope to it.

I'm hoping that someone will get some good in cabin driving around town video of the PCM 545 so I can see if it's really something I would have to re-learn how to drive at low RPM with.

I didn't have the PCM cam, but mine was similarly spec'd (actually slightly more extreme). Drove in heavy traffic for months. After a week you don't even notice it anymore, and it doesn't take you more than one day to "learn" how to drive at low RPM's again. Besides, everyone loves that cam shake
It's definitely worth the extra power!

I wouldnt let that deter you from buying a cam. I have the Night Fury and it shakes just as bad, if not worse than that. Like it was mentioned above, once you've acclimated to driving with a cam, you dont notice stuff like that anymore. Its when you have someone in the car who mentions the shake, that you remember its there. Sure you can feel it, but its normal to you after awhile.

I'm pretty sure the new prius idles pretty smooth...maybe you can look into one of those? Jk man sorry for being a smartass. But seriously though you can't have a ton of lope and not have that transmit into the cabin at all...its really not that bad...you don't even notice it after a few days...but seriously though...if you want it to drive completely stock then leave the stock cam in it

Had a night fury in the c6 and YES it did shake the whole car! I PREFER THAT though! and yes, it also made my girls boobs shake! was fun at stop lights for sure! Lord love tank tops. As for driving it was only noticably harder at 1500rpms or less. Other than the old school feel and BIG power! Just do it man! You will thank us!
