Bought a new car today!
Gents,
The camaro is a great car, I have owned them before and plan on owning them again. That said I had to buy a car. The waiting for the Camaro was killing me and I need a new car now. I went out and got a 2009 Challenger SRT-8 6-Speed. This forum is great and so are the people. When I see the first camaro run around town I am sure I will feel some dissapointment at times. However the chally is indeed a nice car. I got it for 40K with 0%. I pick it up on Saturday in South Carolina. This is also good for you as you will all move up one slot one the allocation process. Dont bash to hard. It is still a American muscle car. Isn't that what we are all going for anyways? Here is the picture off the dealer website

Grats for getting what you want, and I'm sure it will be fun. I will not be polite enough to not remind you that you're really gonna regret it.

I know, but I did want a challenger first, I just couldnt justify the 46K sticker. I like the retro aproach, just dont know how I feel about dodge engineering, but you can bet I will push it to the limit and let you know.

Nice ride. I think the only thing they could've done was give the side of the car some flavor. Especially around the fenders.....it just seems so flat and sknny.
Otherwise, it's nice. |

nice ride. . . make sure you take advantage of the SRT driving course (day schooling) that is included with the price of all SRT's.

I do hope you stick around long enough for feedback, especially after you get to drive an SS for comparison...biased or not.

Have you driven the SRT 6-speed?
ive heard so many mixed reviews about it and the pistol grip, let us know how you like it.

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
