Gord downie. Singer for the tragically hip died yesterday. He had terminal brain cancer. Did a huge tour last year after he was diagnosed in 2015. Got a year of retirement in. He was only 53. For thoes of you who don't know the tragically hip, they were the biggest Canadian band to not go worldwide. They toured everywhere but just went as big as they were here. Always sold out huge venues.

Truly a sad day for all Canadians and for everyone who love the Hip. I grew up with their music and is still a staple classic rock band for all times. I got to meet Gord and the band on the Roadside Attraction tour in Edmonton and Calgary in the late 90's. He will be missed.

There final show was aired across Canada live with no commercials by the CBC close to half the nation watched it live on TV. This one still make tears stream down my face.
