I took my car to the dealer for warranty work and asked if they could perform paintless dent repair on my barely visible door ding. They said they couldn't do it because it's on a crease. Anyone had this done on a similar ding?

Yes I have. It can be done, find another PDR guy. I just had a fender ding removed today, and it was on the crease. Can't tell it was ever there.

i had one removed on passanger door by dealers pdr guy and it looks like it never was hit ! right on the crease below door handle and my car is black you need to try another shop if they cant fix it !

There are reinforcement brackets (kinda like wall studs) behind the metal skins of fenders and doors. If your ding is on the bracket/stud it cannot be repaired by PDR guy.

I've had two dings pretty much in same spot as yours. I used a mobile PDR guy and he got them perfect.

I have one in the very same spot. When I pulled the panel off to look at it, the dent isn't there. I'm not a body guy, but I don't know how they could fix it.

I had a PDR friend here in GA fix a couple in the same exact spot.

I have had a couple dings orsmall dents removed on the crease and they had no problem getting them out.

I had one just aft of the passenger door handle dead center on the crease, it was actually on the car when I purchased it new, dealership had it out in less than 2 hours and you can't even tell it was there.

If you took the door panel off and couldn't see it it's behind the stud/brace in the door and to fix that they are cutting the glue that holds the brace to the door. Making it weak I know this because we own a body shop!!! Just my thoughts
